Registered Psychologist

Kate Nelson's interest in becoming a therapist was ignited during the early years of studying psychology, where she found fascination in delving into human behavior and understanding the various components that shape our humanity. Initiating client work further fueled her motivation, as she felt exceptionally privileged to be granted access to people's inner worlds and to assist them on their unique journeys.

At the core of her therapy style lies genuine compassion, curiosity, and non-judgment. She would describe her therapy approach as person-centered and non-judgmental. Kate greatly values learning from her wonderful colleagues and mentors; however, it is ultimately her clients who continue to contribute to her ongoing growth and learning as both a human being and a psychologist.

She hopes that her clients leave their sessions with the perspective that engaging with a psychologist can be a comfortable and beneficial experience. Additionally, she aims for them to realize their worthiness of investing in themselves in this way, facilitating a journey towards greater self-awareness and self-acceptance.
